基于三种英文报纸上的英语政治新闻的体裁分析

近年来英语政治新闻在语言学界引起了很大的关注。一方面,随着国际交流和贸易的日益频繁,政治决策往往与经济紧密相关,有时在经济活动中,政治往往扮演了决定性的作用。因此人们越来越关注政治新闻,特别是英语国际政治新闻。另一方面,新闻的本质不是忠实地反映社会事实与经历,而是被称作“由社会构造的事实”。政治新闻中的政治倾向常常误导人们的想法,并在无形中控制人们对事件的认识。正因为如此,我们读外来的信息时必须要警惕这种政治倾向。在我们阅读英语政治新闻的时候,掌握政治新闻的结构和政治倾向显得十分重要。这篇论文试图从《中国日报》,《卫报》,《纽约时报》的六十篇英语政治新闻中找出英语政治新闻的共同的语步-步骤,并从中探询其中的一些政治倾向。本文采用了三种研究方法相结合来进行研究。第一,Swale（1990）在CARS模型中的语步和步骤的慨念被引用来作为体裁分析的基本方法。第二,作为新闻的一种,政治新闻是属于新闻的亚体裁, Bhatia（1993）已经分析出关于英语新闻体裁的认知结构,因此,我们实际上也是在他的理论基础上再细分出英语政治新闻的详细语步和步骤。第三,在新闻的核心部分,也就是语步一和语步二中,我们将借用批评语言学中常用的及物性来着重探讨英语政治新闻中的政治倾向。结果证明英语政治新闻由五个语步构成。除了第四个语步是可选择性语步外,其他四个语步均为必须语步。其中语步五---介绍背景信息,是新增的语步,它有利于说服读者。《中国日报》在国际政治事件中基本保持中立态度,而《卫报》和《纽约时报》在某些国际事件中往往比较主观,当然,这和它们所代表的国家和政府对待国际政治的态度不同有关。而且,《卫报》和《纽约时报》经常传递着这样一种信息:即英美代表世界的正义力量,其他国家,特别是发展中国家,在它们眼中都是充满了贫穷,不幸,压迫和混乱的。这篇论文介绍了英语政治新闻的体裁并仔细分析了每个语步是由哪些步骤实现的。同时,也提醒读者在阅读英语政治新闻的时候要警惕西方思想的渗透。
