文学翻译中译者的创造性叛逆

论文摘要

传统译论将翻译看作是一种语际间的转换,强调以原作为中心,力求译文与原文的对等。然而,在翻译实践中,译者往往会出于对某些因素的考虑而对原作的内容和形式进行有意识地改变,以达到其目的,从而导致了创造性叛逆的出现。 二十世纪末,翻译研究出现“文化转向”,这一新的范式突破了规约性、经验性、模糊性、片面性的传统研究模式,更加强调对译作的描述和解释的功能。人们意识到翻译是一项受规范制约的活动,一个有目的的行为,也是改写和操纵的一种形式。翻译绝非在真空中进行,它总是受到译语文化以及翻译目的等诸多外部因素的制约,因此翻译不再是单纯的语言文字的转换,而是特定文化语境下的产物,具有很强的目的性。 本文基于图里的翻译规范理论,勒菲弗尔的操纵改写理论和德国学派的目的论,采用描述—解释的研究方法,对文学翻译中译者的创造性叛逆现象,即译者有意识地背离原作的初衷,对原文的内容和形式进行增、删、重组、甚至于改写的现象进行探讨分析。根据上述理论框架,并通过丰富的译例分析,文章揭示出导致译者发生创造性叛逆的因素,这些因素包括译语文化规范,翻译目的等等,并阐明创造性叛逆存在的价值和意义。 通过对文学翻译中译者的创造性叛逆的研究,文章指出创造性叛逆是不可避免的。文学翻译必定是一种创造性叛逆活动。但在承认“创造性叛逆”合法地位的同时,也必须认识到“叛逆”是有限度,有条件的,需要
