论文摘要
一直以来,英语教学往往局限在培养学生的应试能力,教学只注重句子意义及语法分析而忽略了文化背景知识教学。然而,近几年高考英语试题传递了这样一个信息;着重考查学生应用语言的能力而不是语言知识。本文根据语言与文化的关系,首先阐述了中学英语文化教学的必要性,本人结合新课标、新教材对文化教学的必要性进行研究,通过对历届高考英语试卷中的文化成分的分析和对高考作为评估机制的优缺点分析,揭示了文化教学中存在的问题。其中包括教师的文化观及高考应试教育的影响,为了改善中学英语课堂文化教学的现状,本文提出一些相应的解决办法,建议把文化知识素养的提高与跨文化交际能力的提高和高考要求相结合,培养学生跨文化交际能力,以期达到普通高中《英语课程标准》的新要求。
