通过加强听力输入提高英语水平的研究 ——增加英语听力输入的案例研究

英语语言学习的目的是提高听、说、读、写能力,从而达到使用语言进行交际的目的。而交际的首要条件是具备一定的听力水平。但是,就大多数中国英语学习者的英语整体水平而言,英语听力往往是比较薄弱的一个环节,也是学习者各种语言能力中很难提高的部分,这一点在第二语言习得领域已被一致认同。对于中国高中学生来说,英语听力是有相当大难度的,很长时间以来是学生头痛的内容。本文是作者在2000年至2003年期间在本校的一个实验班里增加听力内容的输入,以观察其对中国学生英语学习影响的一个案例研究。 本研究主要针对以下几个问题: 1.增加听力输入能否有效提高学生的听力能力?如果可以的话,在哪些方面可以提高学生的听力能力? 2.听力输入的增加能否提高学生的整体语言能力?如果可以的话,在哪些方面影响学生语言能力的提高? 3.课外听力材料《空中英语教室》在哪些方面影响了学生的语言能力的提高? 研究采用了多种方法,其中包括:问卷调查、跟踪调查、访谈、试卷分析等。通过对多种数据,如三年学习成绩记录,问卷,观察和访谈等结果的分析,回答了以上的问题。 研究的结果表明,在高中阶段,增加听力的输入对中国学生的英语语言能力的提高具有明显的影响,它不仅能够提高学生的听力能力,还有效地促进了学生说,读,和写的技能的提高。采用具有丰富内容的语言听力材料(如《空中英
