基于建构主义的大学英语写作教学研究

基于建构主义的大学英语写作教学研究

论文摘要

作为一名大学英语教师,通过日常的教学实践,我注意到:在当今社会经济发展的形势下,写作在大学英语教学过程中体现出越来越重要的作用。对此教师和学生都已有共识。然而,提高学生写作能力并不是能一蹴而就的。写作教学一直困扰着大学英语教师。国内学者进行了大量的研究,但结果仍然不尽如人意。大多数研究旨在优化教学方法,而忽视了学生作为学习主体的重要地位。在现行的写作教学模式下,写作教师注重传授写作知识,而未能充分满足学生多样化的学习需求,未能成功地创设一种民主的、互动的、探索式的学习情境,因此不能有效地鼓舞学生的学习热情并建立他们写好英语作文的信心。由认知心理学家杜威、皮亚杰、维果斯基、布鲁纳等人丰富和完善起来的建构主义理论是当代西方教育心理学中最有影响力的理论流派,已成为世界各国教育改革的重要理念。建构主义理论提倡在教师指导下以学习者为中心的学习,强调学生对知识的主动探索、主动发现和对所学知识意义的主动建构。应用建构主义理论指导下的大学英语写作教学模式有助于教师营造探究式的、互动的学习氛围。建构主义学习强调真实情景,把创设“情景”看作“意义建构”的必要前提,并作为教学设计的重要内容之一。而博客正是创设真实情景的有效工具。博客能够提供界面友好、形象直观的交互式学习环境。本论文作者在教学过程中,尝试把博客引入写作教学,充分利用互联网这一网络资源,与学生建立博客链接,同时,用定性、定量的研究方法对大学英语写作教学现状进行分析,并对同级别的两个班级进行实证研究。通过对测试数据进行对比分析,得出结论:基于建构主义理论的博客在大学英语写作教学中的运用,能够激发学生主动学习的兴趣和学习动机;增强学生写作的自信心和写作热情;促进学生批判性地思考并有效开展合作学习;从而提高学生的写作能力。
