论文摘要
凯瑟琳·曼斯菲尔德是为数不多的完全凭借短篇小说成名的作家之一。在文学史上，她凭借写作技巧的创新和对生活细致入微的描写而蜚声中外。作为一个女性作家，她通过深入刻画女性的心理世界来展现她对女性生活境遇的关心。在她的作品中，也表现了女性压抑的欲望。女性角色往往都被多重自我所折磨，围困在真实自我与错误自我的漩涡中，并试图在其中寻找自己的身份。本论文试图在拉康欲望理论的引导下，分析曼斯菲尔德在表达女性欲望时的创作特征。首先，曼斯菲尔德把女性的内心感受同各种象征符号结合起来，使抽象感觉具体化。其次，在表现女性的内心欲望时，曼斯菲尔德所用的意识描写也引人注目。通过意识刻画，人物的内心世界就直接展现在了读者面前。第三，曼斯菲尔德放弃了传统的叙述方法，通过叙事的创新来呈现女性在日常生活和琐事中掩藏的细致、难于言表的真实感受。曼斯菲尔德试图在作品中呈现真实生活的场景，而不是以一个全知叙述者的姿态来安排故事。这种叙述方法也和她在作品中还原生活本质的愿望相吻合。总之，曼斯菲尔德的创作技巧对现代主义作品的形成起了重要作用。
