论《女勇士》的对话性特征

论文摘要

《女勇士》是美国杰出的华裔女作家汤亭亭的处女作。这部作品由五个拥有独立情节的故事组成。这五个故事彼此独立成章,但是又以一种微妙的方式紧密相连,不可分割。本文运用巴赫金的对话性理论来解读汤亭亭的这部《女勇士》。经过大量的文本分析,本文认为这部作品就似一张由对话组成的网络,其间各种不同的意识相互交流,此起彼伏。而通过对话这种方式,美国华裔女性才可以成功的寻求到属于自己群体的新型文化身份和性别身份。本文的主体部分分为五章:第一章是介绍,首先对美国华裔文学,汤亭亭生平及《女勇士》这部作品作了简要介绍,国内外的文献综述部分紧随其后,本章的最后则对本文的论述方法和所用理论作出了简要阐述。第二章介绍了巴赫金的对话性理论。根据巴赫金的理论,对话已经不仅仅是传统意义上的文本中引号内的内容,更是各种平等意识间的相互交流。在《女勇士》中,有很多彼此独立且地位平等的意识在相互对话。而大型对话和微型对话是巴赫金的对话性理论在文本中的两种具体表现形式。第三章分析了《女勇士》中的大型对话,这张对话的网络包含着母女间的对话,中西方文化间的对话以及厌女理论和种族歧视之间的对话。第四章具体呈现了《女勇士》中的微型对话。首先在语言层面上分析了文本中的双声语,而双声语的源头,则是人物的心理矛盾。最后一章是结论部分,本文经过分析论证得出结论:《女勇士》就是一张由对话组成的网络,而对话又作为一种手段,得以帮助美国华裔女性成功寻求到属于美国华裔女性群体的新型文化身份和性别身份。
