高中英语教学中本土文化的开发与融入研究

随着经济全球化的深入发展,世界各国之间的交流日益频繁。经济、政治、科学技术、文化等多方面的交流都是以语言为载体的。自20世纪70年代末以来,中国掀起了一股学英语的浪潮。在英语课堂上,教师以教会学生常用英语、了解西方文化为主要教学目标,在一定的时期内取得了较好的教学成果。然而,随着中国经济的发展,中国国际地位的不断提升,在对外交流的过程中,我们重视的不再只是被动接受和了解外国文化,而是在一定程度上对外宣传中国文化,使外国人了解并认同中国文化。此次研究通过调查我国中学生用英语表达中国文化的能力,提出在中学英语教学中应适当导入和融入中国本土文化的建议。在教学中,语言和文化是不可分的。语言是文化的载体,促进了文化的发展,而文化是语言发展的动力。英语教师在教学中不仅要重视教授语言,而且要重视文化的因素在外语教学中的重要作用。英语教学中不仅要重视对西方文化的了解,也要注意对本土文化的认同与传播。文化认同即指个体对于所属文化以及文化群体内化并产生归属感,从而获得、保持与创新自身文化的社会心理过程。教师应明确本土文化的概念,并使学生逐渐认识到本土文化认同在跨文化交际中的重要性。在英语教学中融入中国本土文化有助于学生树立正确的文化态度,提高学生跨文化交际能力,同时也可以促进英语教学,传播中国文化。此次调查研究中学生用英语表达中国本土文化能力的方法采用了问卷调查法,对中学生和老师分别进行问卷调查,在对中学英语教学中融入中国本土文化这一问题展开了在其必要性、动机、意识、态度、表达能力等方面的调查,旨在找出中学生在跨文化交际中对本土文化表达能力欠缺的原因,从而针对这些原因找出解决问题的方法,提出有利于英语教师展开教学、提高学生用英语表达本土文化的能力。根据问卷调查的结果,作者提出了在中学英语教学中融入中国文化的一些具体策略。包括英语教科书中本土文化的融入,英语教师本土文化意识的培养以及教师在英语教学中融入中国文化的能力的发展,英语课堂上导入中国文化的具体方法,如本土文化讲座法,翻译对比法等。作者也尝试着编写高中英语课本中一个教学单元作为课本案例,以期在高中英语教学中更好地导入和融入中国本土文化。
