论文摘要

托尼·莫里森(1931—)作为第一位获得诺贝尔文学奖的美国黑人女作家,是当今美国乃至世界文学舞台上一位杰出的小说家。《最蓝的眼睛》是她的第一部作品。鉴于这部作品中所涉及的丰富的伦理道德因素,如自我身份、亲子关系,邻里关系,文化错位,人与自然的关系等,本论文试以文学伦理学为理论基础,从人与自我、人与他人、人与自然这三种伦理关系层面对《最蓝的眼睛》所蕴含的伦理因素进行分析,发掘出莫里森的伦理思想及其道德原则,同时对造成文中各人物悲剧的原因进行探索。本论文共分五部分,除引言和结论外分为三章。引言简要介绍了莫里森和她的文学成就,并介绍了文学伦理学及它在解读《最蓝的眼睛》中的应用。第一章以父亲查利和女儿佩科拉为例子详细分析了莫里森在人与自我这一关系层面“追求自我平衡”的伦理主张及追求;第二章以母亲波琳和女儿佩科拉之间的母女关系和黑人社区的邻里关系为例探讨了莫里森在人与他人的关系层面“追求关爱”的伦理主张;第三章则以自然界的表征即四季、具体的物体、动物为切入点探讨了莫里森在人与自然这一关系层面“追求和谐”的伦理诉求。结论中指出,对于黑人社区和黑人种族存在的问题、黑人民众的各种关系,莫里森以其独特的写作方式给予了极大的关注与详细的描写,全面而具体地诠释了她的道德信仰与伦理追求:自我平衡,相互关爱,与大自然和谐相处。而这三点也是莫里森为黑人同胞开出的一道解决这些问题的药方。
