从联结主义理论角度探索大学英语词汇教学

论文摘要

词汇是语言的三要素(语音、词汇、语法)之一,是语言的基本材料,离开词汇就无法表达思想。高校教学大纲明确规定词汇教学是其中的一个重要组成部分,并指出要有计划的向学生传授英语词汇方面的知识。但是对于许多英语初学者,特别是在校的学生来说,在学习英语单词的时候,难于记忆单词的拼写,更难于把握词义。如何去有效教学词汇成了是一个摆在广大师生面前的很实际的问题。联结,作为一种有效的应用形式,试图来解决这一问题。本文从联结理论的角度出发,论述了联结主义的记忆模式。由此指出词汇在联结主义理论下的关系网络,即词汇的意义联结和形态联结。词汇的形态和意义的联结把单个词汇置于整体网络之中,并由此提出了词汇教学的一种新方法,综合法。对于词汇教学具有重要的指导意义。
