认知图式理论视角下译者在英文电影名称翻译中的主体性

论文摘要

随着我国对外开放不断深入和对外文化交流步伐进一步加快,大量的英文电影作品通过各种渠道涌入我国,人们对于英文电影名称汉译的关注也越来越多。近年来,很多学者和专家也就英文电影名称汉译的策略选择、文化感知等方面进行了探索和研究。作为商业翻译的一种形式,英文电影名称汉译在当前翻译研究中占有重要地位。本文认为,在认知图式理论的影响下,译者在翻译英文电影名称时可以拥有更多的选择。认知图式理论认为图式和目标文本之间有着动态的密切关系。在翻译过程中,译者应该把目标读者的反应考虑进来,根据具体的语言语境和文化语境灵活选择相应的翻译策略和具体的翻译方法,通过保持、强化和重建目标观众的已存图式,恰当地传达出原影片名或原影片所携载的文化信息,从而使目标观众能够接受和能理解译名。本文的观点是译文必定体现译者的主体性,而译者主体性的体现又深受认知过程的影响。首先,本文定义了“译者的主体性”的概念,对其发展历程以及在翻译研究中的重要地位做了简要描述。其次,本文对认知图式理论的概念做了简要介绍,对其在信息加工过程中的影响力进行了阐述,进而得出,在英文电影名称汉译的研究中采用认知图式理论能够更好地解读译者主体性。再次,在认知图式理论的指导下,本文通过对图式转换体制的介绍,以及译者在具体的翻译过程中对翻译策略和翻译方法的选择,就译者主体性在英文电影名称汉译中的体现进行了探索。
