认知语用理论视角下的关联顺应翻译研究

本项研究旨在从认知语用学的视角探讨关联对译者在原文理解过程中的影响,以及顺应对译者在用目标语再现原文意义过程中如何选择词义,句义,风格和翻译策略等所产生的影响,其主要目的在于构建一种认知语用理论视角下的关联顺应翻译研究模式,以提高翻译的整体和谐,更有效地指导翻译研究及实践,并为研究社会文化语境下人类语言的语用功能提供一个新的思路。研究假设如下:翻译要经过两个动态的过程,一个是解码推理过程,另一个是编码选择过程;两个过程涉及三个主体(原文作者,译者,译文读者),译作是三个主体的认知语境互相作用的结果。从翻译交际活动所涉及的三个主体出发,本论文认为,由于原文作者和译文读者进行交际必须通过译者这一媒介,原文作者和译文读者能否进行成功的交际,译者的认知环境是关键。综述以往的研究成果,本项研究发现,以往的翻译研究,无论是关联理论框架下的翻译研究,还是顺应理论框架下的翻译研究,都存在片面性,前者主要探讨的是第一个动态过程,也就是对原文的理解过程,后者探讨的则是第二个动态过程,译文的产出过程,而翻译既包括语言理解,也包括语言产出,忽略了任何一个方面都有可能导致交际不足,甚至是失败。为了克服片面性,本研究在前人研究的基础上提出了基于关联与顺应的认知语用翻译研究模式,并对翻译实践中的一些实例进行分析,以证明该模式的有效性。例证分析表明,在翻译过程中译者无论是在语言理解还是在语言产出时,都必须考虑认知和社会文化问题,必须时刻牢记认知和文化与语言的关系,只有这样才能使译文达到与原文相近的语用效果。
