目前,中等卫生学校学生文化基础存在很大差异,传统教学中采用“一刀切”、“齐步走”的教学模式不能使学生得到最大有效的发展进步。针对这种现状,英语教师面临的一个重要任务就是掌握先进的教育理念,采用有效的教学方法和模式,帮助学生在英语学习中取得好成绩。文献研究表明,分层教学模式尊重学生的差异,立足全体学生的发展。通过分层教学,不同层次的学生都会取得一定的进步,而且对英语学习的兴趣也会有所提升。本研究以最近发展区、掌握学习理论、多元智能理论以及输入输出假设为理论依据,以天水市卫生学校2006级护理专业的两个班128名女学生作为研究对象,运用调查问卷、测试和CS2000统计软件等研究工具,进行了为期10个月的分层教学实验,探讨了分层教学在中等卫生学校英语教学中的应用效果。实验结果表明,在中等卫生学校实施分层教学,能提高学生的学业成绩,有效地控制两极分化,激发学生的英语学习兴趣。本研究的重要启示是,教师应该根据学生的英语学习水平、学习兴趣等因素,构建起包括学生分层、教学目标分层、教学活动分层、作业任务分层以及教学评价分层的教学模式,使全体学生得到发展。全文共分六个部分:第一部分分析了中等卫生学校英语教学的现状和本研究的目的及意义;第二部分是文献综述,总结概括了国内外分层教学研究现状及主要成果;第三部分论述了本研究的理论依据;第四部分是本研究的设计方案及实施步骤和方法。分层教学实验是为了使全体学生得到发展,因此它的模式构建包括学生分层、教学目标分层、教学活动分层、作业任务分层以及教学评价分层。第五部分是实验数据分析。第六部分是本研究的结论、对教学的启示意义以及本研究的局限性进行分析,并对未来教学实验提出了一些建议。
