新疆少数民族学生英语词汇学习策略研究

论文摘要

本论文旨在探究新疆少数民族大学生英语词汇学习策略的选择与使用特点。本研究基于三个基本假设:1.与汉族学生相比,少数民族学生的词汇学习策略有其自己的特点;2.少数民族学生在使用词汇学习策略时受到其母语和汉语学习的影响;3.与汉族学生相比,具有多语言背景的少数名族学生会更多使用词汇学习策略。200名来自新疆4所高校的大学二年级非英语专业的学生(少数民族学生100人和汉族学生100人)为调查对象。通过对调查结果的定量与定性分析,该研究结果表明:1.被试者普遍认为英语词汇应当在情境及具体运用中习得而不应当通过死记硬背的方法学习;2.与词汇学习策略相比较,被试者的管理策略使用频率较低;3.与汉族学生相比较,少数民族学生能够更多地使用词汇学习策略;4.在调整策略、情感控制策略、猜测策略、为了解内容而查字典策略、视觉重复策略、联想策略以及汉语依赖策略的使用上,少数民族学生与汉族学生间有显著性差异。论文对影响少数民族学习者英语词汇学习策略的主要因素进行了初步探讨,并期待此研究将有助于少数民族学生在英语词汇习得中有效使用英语词汇学习策略,并为新疆少数民族的英语教学提供启示。
