A Tentative Feminist Exploration of the Innovation and Evolution of The Pilgrim’s Progress-in Comparison with the Bible

《圣经》和《天路历程》是两部享誉世界且影响深远的宗教文学作品。尽管女性形象在两部作品中都有出现,但是其命运和待遇却截然不同。本文主旨在于通过对《圣经》和《天路历程》中的女性形象进行比较,批判《圣经》中的对待女性的错误倾向,赞同《天路历程》中对待女性的客观公平的态度,希望通过对两部基督著作的对比重新诠释客观的妇女形象以及树立正确的女性主义态度,进而希望通过此文能呼吁宗教文学界乃至社会各界对女性群体的更多关注和重视。本文共分为四部分。第一章为简介,介绍了论文写作目的、写作方法、研究的关键问题、论文的创新和特色、论文相关题目的研究现状等;同时也介绍了约翰·班扬及其代表作《天路历程》,介绍了《圣经》,女性主义批评原理,以及女性主义代表特丽波的“非父权化诠释学”和“性别修辞批判”方法。第二章揭示了女性形象在《圣经》中黑暗而悲惨的境遇。发现女性在《圣经》中的惯性缺失,并总结出女性消隐现象,反映《圣经》对女性的漠视和冷淡;找出了其中大量与女性相关的恐怖故事,印证《圣经》对女性的妖魔化以及丑陋化;例举了《圣经》中存在的大量歧视、虐待女性的文本,并对其进行了揭露与批判。第三章从三方面阐述了《天路历程》对于《圣经》的继承和发展:首先,讨论了《圣经》对于约翰·班扬及其代表作《天路历程》的影响;其次,分析了《天路历程》对于《圣经》的模仿和继承;第三,论证了《天路历程》相对于《圣经》在女性主义层面的创新和进步。第四章为结论。总结概括了全文主题,指出了女性在文学领域的生存现状。呼吁社会各界尤其是宗教文学领域对女性给予更多的关爱和帮助,并提出一些个人建议和改善该现状的办法。总之,由于本文旨在于关注女性在宗教文学领域的生存状况,而《圣经》和《天路历程》恰为两部在该层面态度截然相反的两部著作,因此通过对此两部作品的对比可以鲜明的突出本文主题。通过对《圣经》的批判和《天路历程》的颂扬,能起到三点作用:第一,可以更好地揭示女性在宗教文学领域的生存状况;第二,可为后来的作者们提供一位优秀的榜样约翰·班扬,同时《天路历程》也为他们提供了如何创作一部男女平等思想的优秀作品的方法。第三,期冀可以唤醒人们对于女性享有平等权利和社会地位的正确认识。
