体裁是指一种可辨认的,内部结构特征鲜明,高度约定俗成的交际事件,同一体裁具有大体相同的语步结构,体裁的交际目的决定体裁的存在。体裁对文本理解有直接影响,包括英语专业听力理解在内。英语专业(TEM4)听力体裁主要有三种:对话、讲座、新闻。而听力理解不仅需要听者在听力理解过程中依据语言提示以及非语言提示获取有用信息,而且还需要听者在已有的知识和经验的基础上理解听力过程中新信息的。听力焦虑是影响听力理解的一个重要因素,听力焦虑是指听者在听力理解过程中,通过认知评价,担心听不懂或者得到负面评价而产生的紧张,担心,焦虑,畏惧等情绪状态。听力中的焦虑主要有基础性焦虑、二级焦虑、以及信息处理焦虑三种。英语专业听力焦虑的产生主要源于听力内容的呈现方式、听力理解文本的主要特征、学生语言基本功的好坏、学生自信心的强弱以及包括老师的评价和反馈在内的课堂气氛等。从某学院外语系09级118名英语专业学生作为对象所做的听力理解测试、听力焦虑问卷和相关性研究和分析中发现英语专业听力材料体裁与听力焦虑的相关性属于弱度负相关范畴。这说明语言教师帮助学生从整体上把握体裁特征,可以减轻他们的听力焦虑,提高听力理解水平和学习效率。
