目的论看许渊冲诗歌翻译的读者接受 ——个案研究《琵琶行》英语读者

论文摘要

本文主要研究许渊冲诗歌翻译的英语读者接受度,通过问卷调查研究英语读者对许渊冲翻译《琵琶行》用词的接受性,兼从目的论角度出发分析许渊冲的翻译目的并对比受试结果,从而探讨许渊冲翻译目的的实现程度和读者心中的理想译文。许渊冲是中国知名的翻译家,译作丰富亦颇受争议。其英译中诗多为韵体以期“音美”,琵琶行便是一例。本文从汉斯·弗弥尔(Hans J.Vermeer)的目的论出发,分析许渊冲翻译《琵琶行》三个层面的目的,通过问卷调查分别从该译文用词的可读性、诗意、与韵体的关系三方面检验英语读者的接受度,从而得出许渊冲翻译目的没有完全实现,而英语读者心中的理想译文是自然清晰富于诗意的英语辅之以韵体。
