从隐喻的主要语义特征看《老人与海》十种译本的隐喻再现

论文摘要

美国小说家海明威（1899-1961）,于1954年获诺贝尔文学奖,获奖之作就是《老人与海》。这部名著自从问世以来,都受到人们相当大的关注,大量的译本和评论也层出不穷。《老人与海》的故事非常简单,关于其中的隐喻翻译,可挖掘词背后的含义。隐喻是现代语言艺术中的最常用策略之一,无论是生活中、国际交往中、还是文学艺术中,都离不开隐喻的使用。在翻译中能否处理好这个语言现象对于忠实地、全面地在译文中再现原文的话语信息是个十分重要也是十分关键的问题。本文试图用隐喻的主要语义特征来审视《老人与海》翻译中隐喻再现问题本论文首先简要介绍该文的主要内容和研究方法。在该章中主要介绍《老人与海》的主要内容,各种译本几个译本的译者和隐喻学研究现状。论文的第二部分主要介绍基本理论框架——束定芳对隐喻语义结构的划分及隐喻的主要语义特征。束定芳在其自著作《隐喻学研究》一书中从认知语义学的角度,根据语义矛盾的特点,本体、话题（或本体）和喻底出现的情况划分出四种隐喻意义结构和隐喻的十二种主要语义特征。论文的第三章主要以隐喻的十二种主要语义特征具体分析和讨论《老人与海》是个译本中的翻译再现。第四章是隐喻翻译策略。因为隐喻的所有语义特征均可在隐喻的意义结构中显现,隐喻的四种意义结构也可以体现隐喻的所有的语义特征,在此关系基础上结合上一章论述的文本中的例子,探讨隐喻的意义结构下隐喻翻译策略。结论部分结合隐喻的语义特征,通过对《老人与海》十种译本的比较研究,更好地理解这部名著,解决译本中隐喻的翻译问题。
