翻译批评综合模式初探

论文摘要

关于翻译评估浩如烟海的论述中,不乏有价值的理论观点,但可行性强的翻译批评框架的并不多见。相比较而言,House、Newmark、Reiss和wilss的翻译批评模式影响较大,也更受人瞩目。因此本研究选择这四个模式作为理论基石,在此基础上提出指导翻译批评的综合模式。与西方相比,中国在翻译批评方面的研究则较为零碎不够系统,也没有提出可被广泛接受或人所共知的翻译批评理论或模式。换句话说,翻译批评的研究在翻译研究中处于边缘地位。但是中国的研究也是有其特色的,可以借鉴的地方也很多,比如对道德标准方面的强调、对用充足实例进行论证的重视、以及对棘手译例的探究等。本文作者对翻译批评进行反思,在此基础上提出了翻译批评的综合性模式。综合模式从翻译批评家的视角出发,考虑到他/她所面临的各种选择。由于这一模式鼓励多样性,翻译批评家的主体性得到很大的提高,他/她可以选择自己采取的立场以及进行分析的翻译理论或标准。虽然进行翻译批评一定程度的主观性是不可避免的,综合模式还是做了各种将其客观化的努力,例如从语篇语言学中引进不同的参数。此外,综合模式接受并欢迎外界批评,从而可以不断得到完善,因此新模式极富生命力。此外,为了说明综合模式的具体运作方式并验证其可行性,文中采纳综合模式的理论框架,对《傲慢与偏见》选段的翻译进行了评价。
