专业口译员的培养和口译市场的职业化 ——中国面临的一艰巨任务

论文摘要

口译与其他专能一样都是特定领域的技能。面对口译市场越来越高的要求和期许,译员除了通过提高口译技能和职业道德标准来实现自身的职业化外别无选择,即口译职业化已成为全球不可逆转,难以抵挡的潮流。本文首先回顾了中外口译研究和实践的历史,指出口译活动虽然有着悠久的历史,在不同民族和文化的交流中发挥了重要的桥梁作用,但是直到二十世纪,口译才作为一门职业得到了快速发展并且开始真正成为学术研究的课题。同时本文还指出由于各国地缘政治,经济发展程度以及学术发展基础的不同,口译职业化的步伐也呈现出一定的差别。本文接着探索了职业口译在中国相对发展滞后的现状,并主要从口译理论系统化研究的缺乏,职业标准和道德准则的缺失,口译培训的混乱,质量评估体系的不完善,行业协会的不成熟,口译行业的失范以及外界对译员缺乏认可等角度对国内口译研究和口译市场所存在的问题作了详细阐述。作者为此专门针对上海口译市场进行了问卷调查,结果显示并验证了以上问题的存在。之后本文针对这些问题尝试提出一些行之有效的解决办法,譬如鼓励口译研究的创新,规范口译培训课程,完善资格认证机制,加强口译市场的管理等。最后本文提出口译职业化虽然是一项艰巨的任务,但并不是难以实现的,在不久的将来会在中国成为现实。
