论文摘要
谁是翻译的主体?对于这个问题,人们困惑已久。在上世纪七十年代“文化转向”以前,译者始终处在边缘位置,得不到关注和重视。“文化转向”以后,人们逐渐认可译者是翻译的主体,译者在翻译过程中发挥着主体作用。然而,对译者主体性的看法不能走向极端。比如,有些解构主义者和女性主义者认为,译者应该超越原文作者,完全按照自己的理解和意愿来翻译。对此,本文认为人们在重视译者地位的同时,要避免产生这种极端的看法。本文试图运用解释学、解构主义和女性主义学说讨论译者主体性的问题,并结合赵伐对加拿大文学作品的翻译实践,研究主体性在翻译过程中是怎样体现的,以及受到哪些外部因素的制约。本文发现译者的主体性以及制约因素体现在译者对原文的选择和理解以及翻译策略上。总之,译者的主体性及制约因素在整个翻译过程中都体现了出来。据此,本文认为,译者是翻译的主体,在翻译过程中具有主体性,但是主体性的发挥不是随意的,而是受时间、社会意识、文化等诸多外部因素的制约。从本文我们可以得到几个启示。第一,译者应该适当发挥主体性,要充分但不能过度;第二,译者应在尊重原文的基础上大胆发挥主体性;第三,译者的主体地位决定译者在翻译中的责任;第四,我们在研究翻译理论时应该防止走向极端化。
