BVCA词汇教学研究 ——利用3R词汇教学法提高学生词汇识记水平的一次尝试

论文摘要

词汇记忆难一直以来是英语学习者和英语教育者急于要解决的问题。一项调查显示,失败的词汇学习经历使很多学生失去了学习英语的信心和兴趣。本文作者根据自己在职业院校将近十年的工作体会,结合Joe Angela的词汇记忆理论,试图将3R词汇学习法运用于课堂教学当中。3R词汇教学即在教师指导下,学生通过正确朗读单词完成单词记忆准备阶段、通过分组朗读课文完成单词注意阶段、通过复述课文完成单词生成阶段,从而最终完成单词记忆的整个过程。3R词汇教学研究旨在解决职业院校中普遍存在的学生词汇记忆难的问题,探求3R词汇教学策略对学生学习英语动机及词汇学习的影响。 本研究主要研究三个问题: 1.3R词汇教学法对学生词汇记忆能力会有什么影响? 2.3R词汇教学能否有助于提高学生英语学习动机? 3.3R词汇教学法对学生词汇学习策略的培养和运用会有什么影响? 本研究是按以下步骤进行的: 本研究历时6个月。首先,作者对北京工业职业技术学院、首都经济贸易大学密云分校和北京农业职业学院三所职业院校学生英语学习中普遍存在的问题进行调查。结果发现98.7%的学生认为词汇问题是英语学习中最普遍的问题。89.2%的学生试图通过机械重复记忆来解决词汇记忆难问题。根据这一分析结果,作者选定北京农业职业学院高职0305班进行3R词汇教学实验,就词汇及英语学习问题对该班进行调查并完成前测。然后,作者将3R学习策略和教学内容结合在一起,试图培养和提高学生词汇学习的信心。作者仔细观察了实验过程并进
