话语霸权之功能语言学研究

论文摘要

文化、政治、社会学领域对霸权进行了广泛而深入的研究。把霸权问题与意识形态、国家、市民社会、政治、文化等联系起来进行全面而深刻地理论探索的学者首推葛兰西。葛兰西已将霸权当作一切历史时代处于支配地位的集团维持自己统治以及从属集团发展为统治阶级的有效手段。在这个意义上,霸权就是社会集团使自己的支配的正当化、使自己的统治合法化的政治活动。在当代社会,霸权日益以话语的形式体现或传播。然而,迄今为止,话语中的霸权未得到应有的重视。本文尝试从功能语言学的角度对话语中隐含的霸权进行研究,力图建立一个话语霸权的三层模式,包括话语霸权的表征模式(representational pattern)、互动模式(interactional pattern)、接合模式(articulatory pattern)。此三层模式分别用于探讨话语霸权中的控制(manipulation)、劝说(persuasion)、接合(articulation)。本论文共分七章,第一章为引言,对论文做了总体介绍,重在阐明话语霸权这一概念,本论文的理论基础、研究程序及方法、研究目标及意义。第二章概述话语霸权的研究成果,论述功能语言学可运用于研究话语霸权。第三章从功能语言学理论和费尔克拉夫的批评话语分析模式两种角度,简要概述与本论文相关的理论框架。第四章基于语场理论和及物性系统,建构话语霸权的表征模式,阐述话语中的控制功能;第五章基于语旨理论和情态、评价系统,建构话语霸权的互动模式,阐述话语中的劝说功能;第六章基于语式理论、互文性理论,建构话语霸权的接合模式,阐述话语中的接合功能。最后一章是论文的总结,着重归纳和解释话语霸权的三种模式,并指出本论文的不足之处以及本研究的发展方向。话语霸权的研究局限于文化、政治、社会学研究领域。本文是从语言学理论角度对话语霸权进行研究的一次尝试,希望能够为话语霸权的研究带来一些新的气息。同时,本研究也证明了功能语言学的可适用性特点,拓展了功能语言学的研究领域。
