大学英语学习者听力自主学习能力的调查与研究

随着全球化进程的不断加快,知识和信息的迅猛增加,我国已经进入终身教育、终身学习的学习型社会,培养学习者学习方面可持续发展的潜力显得尤为迫切。自二十世纪八十年代起,“自主学习”被引入外语教学界,成为外语教育研究的热点内容,国内外二语研究者们都认为自主学习能力的培养是语言教学的最重要的目标之一。纵观国内外的研究现状,我们发现之前的研究大部分都是对英语自主性学习的整体研究,并且针对的多是非英语专业的大学生,而对英语学习中的某一技能,特别是听力的自主学习方面的研究特别少。因此非常有必要把对自主学习的研究细化到英语学习中的某一技能的掌握—听力。本研究以问卷和采访为调查工具,对205位来自三所不同院校,五个不同专业的大学英语学习者进行了听力自主学习能力方面的调查。调查内容包括三个方面: 1)学习者听力自主学习能力的整体情况;2)英语专业和非英语专业学生,男生和女生,好生和差生,这三组学习者在听力自主学习能力方面的差异;3)听力自主学习能力与英语听力成绩之间的关系。通过分析,我们发现学习者的听力自主学习能力与听力成绩之间呈显著正相关,其中学习者对听力学习过程的管理和对听力学习目标的设定是影响听力成绩最重要的两个因素。但是由于学习者缺乏自主学习意识和学习策略方面的知识,学习者的听力自主学习能力并不太理想。独立样本T检验结果表明,专业和性别这两个因素并不是决定学习者听力自主学习能力的关键,但好生与差生在听力自主学习能力方面有显著差异。基于以上的调查结果,本文提出了四点提高学习者听力自主学习能力的教学建议: 1)唤起学习者和老师的自主学习意识;2)加强策略训练;3)鼓励学习者之间的听力合作学习;4)增强学习者在听力学习中的自我效能感。本研究把自主学习跟听力学习相结合,是对自主性研究的细化,拓展了自主学习研究的范围和空间。
