双语心理词典下二语水平与口译流利度的相关性研究

本文是从心理语言学角度进行的一项描述性的实证研究,旨在从双语心理词典的角度描述二语(本文指英文)水平和口译流利度的相关性。笔者借鉴了在双语心理词典表征研究中已被普遍接受的独立表征模型,词汇联结模型和概念调节模型,并在其基础上引入口译过程这一变量从而提出了体现二语水平发展过程中的双语心理词典的表征和口译流利度相关性的模型,即:独立模型,发展模型,和高级模型。本研究的假设是:双语者的二语水平与口译流利度相关,而且随着心理词典表征结构的完善和成熟其口译流利度越高。该实证研究由两个实验构成,双语词汇联想实验和汉译英的连续传译测试。参加测试的实验对象包括:15名广东外语外贸大学英语浸泡营的学员,15名大二学生,10名一年级研究生,以及5名本科学历以上有海外学习生活经验的中国留学生。他们分别被视为低,中,高三个水平组。实验结果表明:1.双语心理词典的表征随着学习者英语水平的提高逐渐从独立表征转化发展为共同表征(词汇联结型/概念调节型)。2.二语水平的发展与汉英口译流利度显著相关。实验数据表明,二语水平越高其口译流利度越高。3.随着二语水平的提高,双语心理词典表征逐渐发展成熟,口译流利度也相应提高。作者从认知信息处理过程的角度,从双语心理词典的表征,英语学习环境,词汇习得等方面对实验结果的可能原因进行了探讨,并对外语教学,口译训练以及今后双语心理词典表征研究方面提出了建设性意见。
