叙事颠覆和华裔美国人的第三空间身份建构 ——金斯顿《引路人孙行者：他的即兴曲》的后殖民主义解读

身处两种文化之间，经历了中美文化激烈的碰撞，遭遇了来自于主流社会的种族歧视与滞定形象(stereotype)的迫害，华裔美国人成为美国主流社会的他者。因此探寻与建构华裔美国人的文化身份已成为华裔文学的首要任务。然而在探求文化身份的艰难历程中，他们面临了以下困境：徘徊于美国主流文化和中国传统文化之间不得其所，华裔男女作家就身份建构的分歧爆发了激烈的论战。后殖民理论家霍米·巴巴深谙少数族裔作家所面临的困境。他的第三空间，杂糅以及文化翻译的理论成为解决上述问题的良方。作为最具影响力的美国华裔作家之一，马克辛·洪·金斯顿(Maxine Hong Kingston)凭借其内涵深刻，视角新颖，写作风格独特的创作，成为为美国华裔身份建构而奋斗的女勇士。1989年出版的《引路人孙行者：他的即兴曲》为金斯顿创作生涯中的第一本小说，展示了其就身份建构所作的创新探索。从后殖民角度来看，该小说试图创建霍米·巴巴所倡导的第三空间，运用杂糅，文化翻译的策略打破主流社会强加于华裔的滞定形象，解构文化本真主义，从而构建新的文化身份。因此该论文旨在运用霍米·巴巴的后殖民主义理论，深入探讨在《引路人孙行者：他的即兴曲》中金斯顿就华裔的身份建构，华裔群体的建设以及少数族裔两性的分歧等一系列问题所作的思考与探索，从而为身处全球化时代的华裔美国人之身份建构开拓一个全新的视野。
