大学英语阅读理解试题分析及效度研究

论文摘要

自上世纪末期以来,测试语言学进入了一个活跃发展的时期,测试语言学的理论研究有了较大的发展。并且,通过与统计学相结合,测试语言学已发展成一门理论与实践并重的独立学科。阅读是人们获得知识的一个重要途径,因此学生的阅读理解能力是其外语语言能力的重要组成部分。近年来,在各种英语测试中,阅读理解题型都占有较大比重。大学英语测试也不外于此。那么,如何运用测试语言学的相关知识指导大学英语阅读理解试题设计呢?对于一份设计好的试题,又该以什么标准进行评价呢?本文以河北农业大学2009-2010学年大学英语1级考试为样本,从试题构建和试题评估两方面阐示和验证语言测试方面的相关理论,并利用测试语言学的方法对样本试题进行评估。全文共分为六章。第一章介绍论文的研究目的和文章结构;第二章对语言测试的主要理论进行了描述;第三章阐述有关阅读方面的理论;第四章讲述大学英语阅读理解试题的构建;第五章介绍大学英语阅读理解试题的评价方法;第六章是结论。其中,第四和第五章是重点。第四章以Bachman & Palmer的任务特点框架为基础,结合大学英语教学大纲对学生阅读能力的要求,设计出大学英语阅读理解的学期试题考试大纲。第五章应用测试语言学有关理论和方法对样本进行了效度、信度、相关性等方面的分析。通过对样本试题的研究分析,笔者发现大学英语阅读试题样本基本能反映教学大纲的要求,达到效度和信度的相对统一。但仍存在一些问题,如:阅读材料后多项选择的题型过于单一、试题的区分度不够等。这些也是大学英语阅读测试中普遍存在的问题。针对以上问题,笔者提出了一些建议以使大学英语阅读理解测试设计更加科学和合理。
