听力策略在非英语专业成年学习者的短期培训中应用的研究

随着我国和世界各国日益频繁的交流,越来越多的学者申请到国外进行先进科技技术的学习。因此,较高的英语实际应用能力,尤其是良好的听力理解能力,成为他们吸收知识的必备工具。听力能力的高低会直接影响到他们学术和科技知识的交流。本论文调查中国成年学习者短期听力学习策略的特点,并且根据Anderson关于听力理解过程理论以及O’Malley & Chamot对于语言学习策略的分类,探讨中国成年短期听力学习者的听力策略应用与其听力理解能力的相关关系。同时还探讨了成年人中年龄相对较大和年龄较小的学习者的各自学习特点并提出改善听力的教学的建设性的建议。参加本次调查的受试者是来自吉林省东北师范大学留日预备学校的102名短期英语出国培训人员。研究方法主要有问卷调查和试卷测试,根据受调查者在最终考试中听力测试中取得的成绩,通过SPSS统计软件进行数据分析,判断学习策略对他们听力学习的影响。研究表明:第一,应用策略培训,对于短期培训的成年学习者,拥有积极意义。第二,语言应用能力和句子识别能力是成年学习者听力学习中的最大障碍。第三,大多数学习者培训前对学习策略对于听力学习的影响有一定的认识,但是认识程度在教学过程中,会受到是策略输入多少的影响。第四,不同年龄段的成年学习者,对学习策略应用的侧重点不同。年龄相对较大的成年人侧重于原认知策略和情感策略;年龄相对较小的学习者侧重于认知策略。以上的研究成果对于短期培训成人听力学习者有一定的启示:在日常听力教学中,教师应注意学习策略的训练,针对于不同年龄段的学习者,应结合各自特点,应用不同的策略,引导学生在有限的学习时间里,获得最大听力收益。本研究存在一些不足之处。例如,受试者人数较少,收集的数据不够充分,但是,该项研究在一定程度上真实反映了受试者听力策略使用和提高的情况,对于短期出国培训教学有一定的指导意义。
