高职高专学生英语自主学习态度调查

论文摘要

在当今全球化和信息化的时代背景下,终身学习已得到广泛的认同。一个人只有不断学习,注重自身的发展才能适应当前瞬息万变的社会形式,在社会竞争中保持优势。现代的教育顺应社会需求,它的重心已由单纯的知识传授转向培养学生步入社会后完成终身教育的能力。随着改革开放的不断深入,对外交流的不断扩大,英语作为一门国际语言,其重要性不言自明,社会对于有较高英语运用能力的专业人才的渴求,使教育界对学生英语自主学习能力的提高日益重视。本文是作者以人本主义理论、建构主义理论和认知理论为依据对高职院非英语专业学生自主学习态度展开的一次调查。调查围绕着以下问题展开:一、高职院校非英语专业学生自主学习态度如何?二、他们的自主学习态度是否存在性别差异?三、不同年级的学生的自主学习态度是否存在差异?采用问卷和访谈的形式,使用SPSS12.0对采集的数据进行分析整理,作者得出以下结论:大部分高职院学生对自主学习持有积极的态度能认识到自身责任,但在信心、学习动力及对教师依赖方面有待提高;大体而言,性别和年纪差异不显著。随后,针对职业英语教学如何更好地促进学生自主学习,提出了尝试性建议:第一,要提高学生学习自主意识;第二,应该提高教师对于自主学习的认识,发展教师自主,第三,努力创造一个“学习者友好”的学习环境。培养自主能力是新时期对教师和学生提出的新挑战,只有学生具备了这一能力,才能实现终身学习的长远目标。
