关于言语幽默对于高中英语词汇记忆的效果研究

本文的主题是外语词汇教学的语境幽默化。它是通过词汇教学中所提供的幽默语境来实现的。语境起了一个诠释词汇如何在语言中具体应用的作用。但是现在的课堂中所提供的语境是不令人满意的。原因在于这种语境没能激发学生的兴趣或者减少学习者在学习外语时的焦虑。而语境幽默化就会使学习者“放松警惕”,其焦虑程度就会降低,知识的输入就会被注意到并且进入学习者的思维体系(Krashen, 1982)。毫无疑问,幽默能够帮助建立这种焦虑度低的环境。本文试从词汇教学的语境幽默化这一全新的角度来讨论外语词汇教学问题。为了证明语境幽默化会产生更好的词汇记忆效果,作者在高中一年级的两个平行班级进行实验。用两种不同的语境来展示相同的一组单词:实验组通过言语幽默来组织语境,而对照组则使用非幽默语境。通过比较两组数据的结果发现言语幽默会产生更佳的记忆效果。因此,有理由相信语境幽默化会是可以作为强化记忆手段而被应用在词汇教学中的。由于幽默在词汇教学中有显而易见的帮助,因此本文所探讨的内容在改进英语词汇教学的层面上具有一定的现实意义。本文还探讨了作者在英语教学中使用幽默的体会。发现幽默还会帮助学习者加深对西方文化认知。从而更加深层的理解英语的含义。同时提供了一些具体在课堂中使用幽默的例子以及使用幽默时的注意事项和建议。
