电影《美丽心灵》中的人际隐喻探析

论文摘要

人际语法隐喻作为语法隐喻的主要内容之一,一直吸引着广大学者的浓厚兴趣。但是由于功能语法兴起的时间还不够长,因此,对人际语法隐喻的研究难免存在一些问题。本文以电影《美丽心灵》中的人际隐喻为基础,主要着眼于对两个问题的探讨:一,人际隐喻现象是否是人际交往中的普遍现象;二,探究人际隐喻在人际交往中有什么样的重要作用。本文在写作过程中首先收集并转写了电影《美丽心灵》中的对白文本,并花费大量时间对对白文本中存在的人际隐喻现象进行标注,从而获得了详实可靠的分析实例。然后,在所收集的人际隐喻现象的实例中,选取有代表性的实例进行分析,进而归纳总结出人际语法隐喻现象在电影《美丽心灵》中,在维系人际关系以及在促成成功交际方面所起到的重要作用。无论在论述语气隐喻的功能作用时,还是在讨论情态隐喻的功能作用中,作者都是按照人际隐喻的实现形式,把情态隐归纳成不同的类别,并加以讨论。通过对电影《美丽心灵》文本的分析,作者用数据证明人际隐喻现象大量存在于人际交往的言语对白之中。通过分析人际隐喻在电影《美丽心灵》中的作用,本文作者发现,人际隐喻虽然在促成话语交际的成功中起着非常重要的作用,但是不同类别的人际语法隐喻现象在人际交往中起到的作用是不同的。语气隐喻主要涉及言语功能的转移,其结果是导致两种语言功能的叠加,从而实现说话者想要实现的复杂的言语功能。情态隐喻的实现是因为在小句中的隐含表达的情态成分转移到小句之外的载体中,从而使小句能够清晰实现对极性的表达。情态隐喻主要涉及情态成分的主观表达与客观表达。人们在语言交际中有时需要主观表达自己的态度,有时需要客观表达自己的态度,合适、准确地表达出自己对某事的看法对于成功实现交际目的具有重要的意义。另外,作者从《美丽心灵》中的人际隐喻现象中发现,人际隐喻不仅能够起到调整语气,调节主、客观导向关系的作用,有时还有助于组织篇章的衔接及改善交际氛围。
