加拿大华人争取平等的斗争及加拿大多元文化的发展

论文摘要

本论文叙述了在加拿大多元文化主义的发展历程中,加拿大华人为争取平等采取的各种政治斗争所起到的积极作用。论文的重点主要包括加拿大华人社团组织的形成,社团组织怎样带领华人社会应对来自白人主流社会的各种歧视,加拿大华人的政治斗争在移民政策变化及多元文化社会形成中所起到的历史作用,以及加拿大多元文化政策实施后华人社会的变化。一方面,战后加拿大国内经济的需要以及国际环境的变化使得加拿大政府的移民政策从“白加”政策逐渐演变为多元文化主义政策。另一方面,华人在加拿大的政治平等及文化统一与华人社会坚持反对种族主义的斗争及战后华人新移民的特征密切相关。
