英语电影的语言特点与字幕翻译 ——以电影《魔戒》系列为例

论文摘要

随着我国对外交流的不断深化,英语电影引进的数量不断增大。准确地翻译英语影片,让更多观众欣赏译制片,从中受益,这当然是特别重要的大事。本文探究英语电影的语言特点,并结合《魔戒》系列影片探讨电影字幕翻译主要策略。首先,本文概述电影配音和字幕翻译史,综述国内外电影翻译研究现状,简述归化和异化这两种翻译策略。接着审视电影语言的发展,通过对电影《魔戒》系列的语料研究,分析了电影语言的特点。此外,作者阐述了电影翻译的两种类型:字幕和配音;然后结合电影系列片中的实例,探讨了归化和异化的应用。最后,作者得出结论,译者在翻译字幕过程中将两种翻译策略有机地结合起有助于译者提高翻译质量,有助于观众克服语言障碍,尽情欣赏电影。
