随着世界经济的发展和中国的对外开放,由于世界人口老龄化,护理人员的短缺,使得对既懂护理又懂英语的复合型人才的需求不断增加,在这种背景下,张家口教育学院为满足社会需求于2004年起开设了英语护理专业,培养涉外型护理人才。护理英语属于特殊用途英语范畴,所以对护理英语的研究应遵循特殊用途英语的理论框架,其中最为重要的一个特色便是对学习者的需求分析。本文旨在通过调查问卷及访谈分析学生主观需求,检验课程设计中反应出的课程设计者们所得出的客观需求是否合乎学生的主观需求,以期达到改进英护专业的英语课程设计的目的,使其更好的为满足学生需求服务。本文分为五章。第一章阐述了论文写作的目的和意义,以及研究的可行性和必要性。第二章介绍了ESP相关理论,需求分析及课程设计。第三章介绍了本文的研究方法,其中包括受试对象、研究工具、数据收集过程和分析软件。本文的重点在第四章,详细介绍了问卷调查的分析,其中包括英护专业的英语课程中教材、教学方法及评估三个方面的学习者的需求分析。第五章结论部分对研究作出了总结,分析了研究的局限性,并对将来的研究提出了建议。
