论文摘要
在传统的翻译思想中,翻译过程仅仅被视为从原语到译语的简单的转换过程。二十世纪西方哲学发生了举世瞩目的语言论转向,伴随着这一人类认知方式的重大变革,人们逐渐认识到翻译是一个积极且富有创造性的过程。译者也并非绝对服从于原文作者的仆人,而是充满创造力的主体。本文认为诠释学的发展与翻译研究息息相关。在方法论诠释学阶段,人们认为诠释者的任务就是准确地再现作者原意。受其影响,译者主体性问题被长期掩盖。到本体论诠释学阶段,海德格尔论证了理解的多样性与意义的不确定性。诠释者主体性问题也逐渐成为了诠释学研究的中心。伽达默尔及其哲学诠释学理论将诠释学的发展推向了新的高峰。本文着重运用哲学诠释学理论,分析了理解历史性、效果历史、视域融合等原则在译者理解过程中的重要作用。作为一种特殊形式的诠释活动,翻译在本质上是主观的。文本的开放性呼唤着来自不同译者的不同诠释。然而在强调译者主体性重要地位的同时,伽达默尔的诠释学思想在一定程度上夸大了理解过程中的主观随意性。面对这一思想倾向,本文结合赫施,艾柯等诠释学家关于理解与意义的理论分析了译者主体性的发挥在本质上是有限与无限的统一,从而在根本上杜绝了译者决定论的误区。在鼓励文化多样性的今天,本文强调译者不仅承担着传递原文意义的任务,更肩负着传递不同文化的使命。同一文本得到来自不同文化的诠释更是文化多样性的题中之义。在翻译的过程中,文本意义的诠释永无止境,而翻译的永恒魅力也正体现在这永恒诠释的途中。
