-EE名词的认知语言学研究

后缀-ee是从法语传入英语的。在英语中有关其他后缀（如-er, -ed和-ing等）的研究都有很多,但研究后缀-ee的却相对较少。造成这一现象的原因可能是表施事的-ee名词总是成为研究者的绊脚石。从现有文献看,大多数学者都认为要想对后缀-ee进行整合的研究是不可能的,因为他们对表施事的-ee名词的存在无法提供合理的解释。但本文认为施事-ee名词的存在是合理的,而且对后缀-ee进行整合研究也是可能的。研究过-EE名次的学者包括Bengsson, Marchand, Bauer, Barker和Heyvaert （ Heyvaert 2006:338）。Bengsson, Marchand和Bauer主要从句法角度对-EE名词进行研究。Barker主要从语义角度进行研究而Heyvaert则总认知语言学角度进行研究。然而从句法和语义角度进行的研究都未能对施事-ee名词的存在提供合理的解释只有Heyvaert从认知语言学角度的研究为证实施事-ee名词存在的合理性点燃了希望。因此,本文的目的是希望从认知语言学的角度对-ee名词进行整合研究。具体而言就是通过证实施事-ee名词存在的合理性和为-ee名词提出一个整合的语义图式来实现这一目的。为了使-ee名词的研究更加完整,本文作者还比较了名词后缀-ee和-er尤其是施事-ee名词和其相对应的-er名词之间关系。
