成就动机与农村高中英语阅读相关性研究

长期以来,在英语教学中,广大英语教师对阅读课投入了大量的时间,却收效甚微,事半功倍,学生阅读题得分普遍不高,造成这一结果的原因,除了学生不能熟练掌握阅读技巧外,另一原因便是学生对于阅读具有一种恐惧心理,看到阅读题就怕,对于阅读提不起兴趣。许多学者认为最主要的因素之一是学生缺乏学习动机。作者回顾了动机与阅读的研究历史,以期望一价值理论为依据,提出学生学习动机的一些问题,分析了影响阅读的内外因素。并针对学习者和学习环境两个方面,提出解决影响阅读活动的内外因素的方法。内部因素的解决主要是从提高学生对英语学习价值的认识和降低他们的焦虑两方面着手,让学生意识到英语在国际交流中的重要作用。在外部因素方面,教师要在课堂上使用以学生为中心的教学方法,采用适当的阅读材料,通过给予一定的鼓励,比如:高分数,星型标记,笑脸标记,学习园地等,给予学生更多的成功机会。作者在本学期的英语阅读课教学中以默读、互动阅读、认知法、视听阅读如电影欣赏等方法来实践这些解决方法,以提高学生的阅读动机,同时为不同层次学生选用不同阅读材料,或同一材料设计不同问题,如选择题、翻译、写摘要、写评论等,以改善英语学习环境。作者认为,成就动机与英语阅读密切相关,动机在阅读教学中的应用具有重大价值,希望这些解决方法能对教师在激发学生的成就动机及英语阅读教学方面有所帮助。
