大学英语教学中的文化教学研究

论文摘要

语言教学理论的发展,日益增长的跨文化交际需要和全球一体化进程的加快,都表明了英语教学的根本目的就是要培养学生用英语进行跨文化交际的能力。所以,英语教学不仅要培养语言基本技能,更应该把这种学习和训练置于文化教学的大背景之中,最终使学生获得跨文化交际能力。近年来,如何培养学生对所学语言的文化意识,进而发展成为一种文化交际能力,已经成为大学英语教学改革中的重大科研课题,日益为广大专家、学者、教师所重视,大批相关的专著和论文也纷纷问世,初步形成了跨文化交际学的研究体系。但是在大学英语教学中如何培养学生的跨文化意识以提高他们的跨文化交际能力,仍是一块有待深入研究的领域。本文从语言与文化关系理论的角度,跨文化意识的培养与交际能力提高的角度,以及完美人格理论的角度,分析了大学英语教学中进行文化教学的重要性。指出了大学阶段英语文化教学的内容设置、前提条件。同时针对课内和课外两个环节,作者提出了一些可行性的文化教学策略。随后作者通过在大学英语教学中进行文化教学的一个实验,证明了他所提出的文化教学策略在培养大学生文化意识及提高他们的跨文化交际能力方面是切实可行的。作者希望大学英语教师能正确运用这些文化教学策略以推动文化教学在英语教学中的开展。
