外语写作是语言习得中的一项重要技能,然而大部分中国的外语学习者却在学习了六七年英语后,仍然觉得用英语写作很困难。她们虽然记住了大量的单词和短语,但在写作中的用词和造句却往往不符合英语表达的习惯。因此,有必要研究如何在现有的条件下,帮助学生更准确流畅地用英文表达自己的思想。词块是最近几年语言学家和外语教育工作者十分关注的一个领域。词块是功能和形式的一个综合体,常被看作是现成的、预先组织好的语言单位。常以固定、半固定的形式存在,便于使用者提取和使用。词块的使用有助于语言表达的地道性、准确性及流利性,减轻语言产出及处理的负担,还可以提升语篇组织能力。它在一语和二语习得中都有非常重要的作用。鉴于词块在语言习得中的重要作用,本研究主要依托J.Nattinger和J.DeCarrico(2000)的理论,采用对比分析的方法,研究在英语教学中运用词汇法是否能有效提高英语学习者的写作能力。研究者将词汇法应用于试验组的英语教学中。在教学过程中,采用了多种方法增强受试者的词块意识及词块的运用能力,最后收集实验组和控制组的三次作文成绩作为实验数据。通过统计分析,结果表明无论与控制组还是与本组以前相比,实验组学生在作文中使用了更多的词块,语言流畅,表达更为符合英语习惯,作文分数有了较明显提高,表明他们的写作能力比实验以前有所增强。研究证明了词汇法应用于英语课堂教学具有可行性和有效性。
