中国大学生英语写作中词汇复现现象研究

词汇复现作为词汇使用的重要方面,在写作中起着举足轻重的作用。本研究试图证明词汇复现作为语言表达手段在写作中的重要作用,同时通过调查影响学生在英语作文中使用词汇复现手段的各种因素,为提高中国大学生的英语写作水平提供有益启示。本文着重研究两个问题:首先,不同水平大学生在英语作文中使用词汇复现手段是否存在差异,若存在,表现在哪些方面?其次,哪些因素会影响他们在英文写作中灵活使用词汇复现手段?本研究结合定量和定性研究。受试者分为高低两个水平组,高水平组30名英语专业大三学生来自南京航空航天大学,低水平组30名非英语专业大一学生来自南航金城学院和解放军汽车管理学院两所高校。受试者被要求在相同时间内完成一篇相同题目的作文,并接受了一次问卷调查。本研究共收集到60篇作文及60份调查问卷。十二名学生接受了回顾性访谈。通过分析对比两组作文,发现高低水平组在词汇复现手段的使用上存在较大差异,低水平组频繁使用原词重复或屈折重复等简单的复现手段,而高水平组还在作文中多样化地使用派生重复、同义、反义和上下义等手段;问卷调查和回顾性访谈显示这些差异不仅源于词汇量和能力差异,还是多种因素包括学生写作中的遣词造句意识、词汇学习的方法、写作中词汇使用策略以及对母语思维的依赖程度等综合作用的结果,教师对不同水平学生采用的不同教学手段和方式也是影响因素之一。这些研究结果证实词汇复现作为语言表达手段在写作中发挥重要作用,同时也为英语学习者和教师提供了一些有益的启示。
