图式理论在成都外国语学校英语阅读教学中的应用

论文摘要

图式理论的形成可以追溯到上世纪六十年代由Goodman首先提出的自下而上理论,他把阅读看作是一个被动的解码过程。近年来,随着应用语言学和心理语言学的不断发展,越来越多的学者认为阅读应是一个主动的自上而下的过程。但是由于自下而上和自上而下这两种阅读理论都存在着不足之处,交互式阅读教学理论便随之产生,图式理论便是在此基础上形成的。半个多世纪以来,众多外语教学研究学者开展了大量关于怎样将图式理论应用于外语教学中的研究工作并取得了很大的进展。该理论传到中国仅仅是近二十年的事情。在这之后的时间里,中国的很多外语理论研究学者同样也进行了在外语教学中主要是英语教学中应用图式理论的研究及其相关的介绍。但是,这当中的大多数研究仅仅限于理论层面,在实际的外语教学尤其是中学的外语教学中并无太多的应用价值。鉴于以上所述,本文主要探索了在成都外国语学校的英语教学实践中应用图式理论的可行性及具体的操作方法,即在阅读前、阅读中和阅读后的应用。本文主要分四个部分:前言部分简要概述了新课标对高中学生的英语阅读水平的要求,并介绍了本文研究的背景、研究的必要性及其目的。第一章讲述了外语教学中主要的几种阅读理论,并着重阐述了图式理论的概念、分类、发展和理论上在外语阅读教学中的应用。第二章首先分析了本研究中采用的阅读教材《展望未来(中级本)》的特征,然后详细阐述了在阅读前、阅读中和阅读后应用图式理论指导英语阅读教学的方法和步骤。第三章首先介绍了此次研究中的被试即笔者所教授的两个高中教学班级的学生的特点,之后通过采用集体访谈法和实验法对此次研究的信度和效度进行了分析并作了小结。结论部分简要地对本论文作了总结,指出在外语教学中应用图式理论可能存在的不足之处并由此提出了一些此次研究中得出的反思。
