英语学习词典中隐喻搭配的研究 ——基于概念隐喻理论

学习者词典不应只是关注用户对显性信息的需求,还应该着眼于这些显性信息的认知因素。本论文尝试在英汉双解词典中加入概念隐喻信息,以帮助中国英语学习者更有效地学习和生成隐喻搭配。本论文基于概念隐喻理论探讨了隐喻搭配中的三种隐喻类型:方向隐喻、本体隐喻和结构隐喻。本论文还发现隐喻主题的跨文化差异和隐喻搭配中的跨语言差异会导致隐喻搭配中的概念迁移和隐喻搭配的错误使用。对于隐喻搭配中概念迁移的潜在认知因素的确认有助于中国英语学习者自然、地道地生成隐喻搭配。本研究对五本主流英语学习词典的字面意义和隐喻意义进行了对比研究。字面意义和隐喻意义的处理不当会导致学习者无法系统和有效地学习隐喻搭配的重要意义成分—隐喻意义。本论文还提出了隐喻搭配中隐喻意识的五个定义。基于这五个定义,本论文对五本主流英语学习型词典进行了对比。最后,本论文提出一个试探性模型,通过在广泛使用的英汉双解词典中加入概念隐喻优化隐喻搭配的呈现方式。
