Translation of Chapter Titles in Hong Lou Meng from the Perspective of Translation Aesthetics

论文摘要

作为中国古典章回小说的优秀代表,《红楼梦》回目撰写相当精彩,它属对工整,概括贴切,浓缩情节,设置悬念,语汇精湛,感情浓烈,具有很高的艺术成就和审美价值,它在形式上所带来的美感远远超过其在内容上提示情节的作用。自从霍克斯和杨宪益夫妇的两个英译本问世以来,众多学者开始把对回目的研究转向了翻译美学,然笔者发现这些研究的关注点各不相同,很少有人对回目展开一个全面细致的研究。因而本文旨在于丰富回目在翻译美学方面的研究,选取《红楼梦》霍译本和杨、戴译本前80回作为研究语料,以翻译美学为研究视角,通过定量分析和定性阐释相结合的方法,从语音,词汇,句子,意境各个层面进行分析,通过回目译文的审美再现来窥视《红楼梦》章回目录所蕴含的审美信息,与此同时本文进一步找出了隐藏在这两个译本中所采取的不同翻译策略,并在此基础上给出一定评价。
