概念整合理论对委婉语的解读

论文摘要

起源于希腊的委婉语,作为一种普遍存在的语言学现象,在人们的日常生活中扮演了不可缺少的角色,并已成为人们交流中重要的语言润滑剂,其调节社会关系和人际关系的重要性毋庸置疑。国内外为数众多的语言学家和学者分别从各种不同角度对委婉语这一语言现象进行了大量的研究,主要集中在修辞学,传统语义学,语用学和社会语言学等领域,并取得了不少成绩;然而,却很少有涉及到其生成动机以及意义建构的研究,认知语言学认为,所有的语言包括委婉语都是对认知,概念和思维的阐述而不是单纯的语言表达。本文试图对委婉语的意义生成和理解机制进行进一步分析和探究,以弥补认知语言学对委婉语研究的不足。始创于20世纪90年代后期概念整合理论,作为西方语言学的一个新流派,其强大的认知阐述力在近几年来倍受全球语言学家们的广泛关注。该理论探讨了语言构建过程中产生的心智空间、认知模式和机制。概念整合理论在输入空间、阐释类属空间、整合空间的基础上形成。经过三个基本过程:构建过程、完善过程和扩展过程,以及相关背景知识,完成概念的意义建构。概念整合理论具有强大的解释力,用于解释语言建构的许多方面。从词语语义到句子中词语的复合,概念整合理论被广泛用于解释多种语言现象,为认知领域提供了一个全新的视野。本文将试图在概念整合理论框架下,以一种崭新的视角来探讨委婉语的认知规律,解释其生成机制和构建,以顺应并促进多元文化的传承。同时,希望通过本文的研究引起其他学者对概念整合理论的运用以及对委婉语意义建构和生成机制的进一步研究和探索。
