跟读对二语听力发展的影响

在中国,特别是西南部地区,学生很少有机会在自然的英语学习环境中发展听力能力,很多学生的英语听力水平还很低。然而,听力在语言习得中的作用不可小视。所以,对英语听力教学的研究和讨论,以及对听力教学中采用的方式对学生听力发展的作用的研究和讨论是必要的。本研究以强化理论和信息过程分析作为理论基础,从认知心理学角度探讨和分析跟读在二语听力发展中的作用,并进一步揭示这种方法对语言教与学所具有的意义。此实验旨在回答以下几个研究问题:1.跟读在听力训练中的运用能否促进听力水平的提高?2.如果能,体现在那些方面?(1)跟读在听力训练中的运用能否促进词的认知?(2)跟读在听力训练中的运用能否促进句子的理解?(3)跟读在听力训练中的运用能否促进段落的理解?在研究中,60个来自遵义师范学院的大学一年级的非英语专业学生被平均分成两组,其中30个来自物理专业的学生构成控制组,另30个来自计科(2)班的学生组成实验组。同一教师在实验教学中对控制组学生进行常规的听力教学,而对实验组的学生用的是跟读式听力训练方式。在为期八周的实验教学后,通过使用SPSS12.0和Excel2003对收集到的前测和后测结果的定量分析和对半开放式的访谈结果的定性分析,研究结果表明此实验对英语作为外语的教学具有一定的意义,主要表现在跟读在听力训练中的运用能有效地促进词的认知,句子甚至段落的理解,从而提高听力水平。
