论文摘要
作为我国近代西方诗歌翻译的先驱,苏曼殊的文学成就已为越来越多的学者所认识。但对其诗歌翻译的系统性研究一直是块处女地。本文从译者主体性角度出发,对苏曼殊的诗歌翻译展开了首次系统性研究,分析了其在诗歌翻译中的译者主体性特征。本文认为,其诗歌翻译的成功与个人的文学审美标准、翻译道德以及文学创造力是密不可分的。首先,与当时盛行的政治功利性文本选择不同,苏曼殊关注以爱情、自由、自然为主题的诗歌。其诗歌翻译标志着中国近代翻译在文本选择上由政治审美模式到文学审美模式的转变。其次,在对源语文本进行解读时,他既忠实于原文内容,又尊重原文意图,为读者呈现了真实的原作,标志着中国近代翻译在解读源语文本时由政治功利性向文学纯粹性的过渡。此外,苏通过对原诗音律的创造性叛逆、对意象的视觉化、以及对清新自然、古朴高雅词汇的灵活运用,实现了译诗的音美、形美和意象美,引发了清末民初的“拜伦热”,有助于中国诗歌的现代化进程。苏在诗歌翻译中的大胆创新使其在中国近代文学翻译史上占有重要的一席之地。但却不一定适用于其他时代的其他译者。在诗歌翻译实践中,在保证忠实原诗的意义的前提下,译者可以适当发挥译者主体性,使译文在意义和形式上得到和谐同意,获得诗歌的诗性。
