性骚扰一词于20世纪70年代起源于美国。在之后的20年中,性骚扰已经从个人问题发展成为社会问题,不容忽视。本文主要从社会文化方面和立法方面透视美国职场性骚扰问题,针对女性这一受害主体展开分析。文章首先回顾性骚扰如何被定位为非法,以及不同时期对性骚扰定义的发展,特别指出“不受欢迎”这一核心概念。然后,分析职场性骚扰存在的问题,以及相关立法。文章第三部分深入分析在性骚扰认知方面取得的成就,就其与性别歧视和种族问题展开讨论,并从分类、标准和防范方面详细阐述。最后,本文将指出人们从美国职场性骚扰中得到的启示,包括女权主义者所作的努力,以及立法中存在的消极作用。
