母语思维在外语写作中的作用 ——初中学生英文写作过程的实证研究

论文摘要

写作是最基本的交流方式,在外语教学领域占有很重要的位置。在应用语言学领域,母语思维在二语写作和外语写作中的使用受到了语言学家的关注。虽然对母语思维在二语写作和外语写作中的作用看法不一,但语言学家大多认为母语思维的使用有利于二语写作与外语写作。然而母语在何等程度上影响二语写作与外语写作一直没有定论。此外,本文通过分析母语写作、二语写作和外语写作以往的研究发现,外语写作的研究的理论基础主要来源于母语写作和二语写作。尽管许多语言学家致力于外语写作研究,但仍处于理论建设阶段。母语写作和外语写作之间的差异仍没被充分得论述。最后,对母语思维在二语写作和外语写作中的作用的研究只停留在对写作结果的分析上。母语思维如何参与二语写作思维过程还是个有待解决的问题。为了解决上述问题,本文对母语思维在英语写作中的作用进行了认知性分析,探讨了母语思维在英语写作中的角色;母语思维量与作文成绩的关系;母语思维量是否会随着写作者英语水平的提高而有所变化;母语思维量是否会受文化因素的影响;以及在不同的思维活动(解题,内容构思,结构构思,文本输出,过程管理)中的作用。本次研究的结果归纳如下:(1)外语写作过程中具有双语特征,即母语思维与外语思维同时参与写作过程。(2)母语思维在不同写作思维中的使用是不均衡的。在解题,结构构思,和内容构思思维活动中的使用量要远远多于在文本输出中的使用量。(3)外语写作中的母语参与量受外语水平和文化因素的影响。
