菜单中的隐喻

论文摘要

中国的饮食文化博大精深,但此前相关的论述与研究只是就饮食谈论饮食,内容过于单一。根据Lakoff和Johnson等认知语言学家的观点,隐喻不仅普遍存在于我们的日常生活中,广泛存在于我们的语言之中,而且还存在于我们赖以生存的思维和行动之中。从根本上说,语言是隐喻性的。本文作者依据此条理论就饮食中出现的特色菜名这一特定体裁为研究对象,以语义学,认知学和语用学等理论为基础,以Cameron提出的隐喻分析的三个层次为应用语言学分析框架,对中国菜名进行试探性的分析。通过研究菜单中隐喻思维的活化,菜单隐喻的理解与辨认及其产生原因进行分类,结果发现其中确实存在隐喻现象。通过隐喻的应用,三言两语把菜名解释的或与造型相符,或与材料相关,奇巧新颖吉祥有典故。本文就这一发现对烹饪中的隐喻进行尝试性的论述。
