认知的语义建构与英语词汇习得

论文摘要

认知语言学是认知心理学和语言学整合的交叉学科。它是基于我们对世界的经验,感知和概念化的方式来研究语言的一种新的方法,为词义建构做出了最本质的解释。认知语言学强调词义不是静止的,而是动态的,因而它在百科式的背景知识,具体的语境和个人经验的整合中实现。词典意义或概念意义不是真正的意义,仅起到背景知识的作用。词义的学习应放到具体的语境中。本文在原型范畴,认知模型,文化模型和框架理论的基础上,着重于进行深层认知加工以促进单词记忆;分析同义词、多义词的认知语义建构以有效理解和产出单词,利用框架在具体语篇中激活旧词以理解和唤回新词。通过传统词汇教学与认知方法的比较,笔者发现深层次的认知语义加工是词汇理解,记忆和产出的关键。学习者建立认知意识促进英语词汇习得是非常必要的。
